Clashes have taken place again between Pakistani and Afghan forces on the Pakistan-Afghan border in Chaman district of Balochistan province, as a result of which at least ten people have been injured in Pakistani territory.

Civil Hospital Chaman Senior Medical Officer Dr. Akhtar Achakzai told Urdu News on telephone that ten injured people have been brought to the hospital with 'splinters' in different parts of the body.

In view of the tense situation on the border, emergency has been imposed in the hospitals of Chaman and Quetta.


This is the second time in a week that Pakistani and Afghan forces are firing at each other in Chaman.

A senior official of the district administration of Chaman said that according to Thursday afternoon fresh clashes also started from the area of Chaman Kli Sheikh Lal Muhammad where Pakistani and Afghan forces had come face to face on December 11 and after that the clashes spread to the rest of the areas. At least seven people were killed and more than twenty were injured in these clashes.

He said that the Pakistani forces wanted to repair the fence, on which the Afghan Taliban posted on the border opened fire and the Pakistani forces also retaliated. is being done.

According to local sources, the series of clashes has spread and the forces of the two countries are targeting each other's check posts near the border, but many civilians have been injured.

Dr. Akhtar of Civil Hospital Chaman told Urdu News that ten injured have been brought to the hospital so far, whose condition is out of danger, but they have iron particles in different parts of the body. He said that all the injured are civilians. are

According to reports, there has been a loss of life due to shelling in the borders of Afghanistan, but it has not been confirmed yet.

Due to shelling, the citizens of Chaman and on the other side in Afghanistan border town of Spain Boldak are taking shelter in safe places.

An eyewitness, Imran Achakzai, told Urdu News over the phone from Chaman that the areas near the border are resounding with the sounds of explosions. Children and women are crying because of fear. People have taken shelter in the basements of the house.
