Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has shifted international flights to Islamabad due to fog at Lahore Airport.

On Wednesday, the spokesperson of PIA confirmed to Urdu News that the visibility has become dangerously low due to fog, due to which PIA flights have been shifted to Islamabad Airport.

According to the spokesperson, all international flights at Lahore Airport from 10 pm to 11 am have been temporarily shifted to Islamabad International Airport.

He said that if the situation improves, the flights will operate as usual. The decision will be applicable on PIA flights to Lahore from Wednesday night.

On the other hand, PIA has provided information to the passengers regarding flight rescheduling and said that the passengers can contact the call centers of PIA to get information about the flights.

PIA issued a statement and said that the transfer of flights has been done in the context of air safety and to save passengers from the inconvenience of long waits. Airport pick-up or drop-off persons are requested to contact PIA call center at 786 786 111 for timely flight information.

In the statement, passengers are requested to 'record their correct number at the time of booking the ticket so that timely information regarding changes in flight timings can be provided to the passengers through call or SMS.'
