Decision to double the fee for permits during stay abroad



The Saudi cabinet has decided to double the fees for renewal of iqama and exit and return of iqama holders outside the country.

According to the Subak website, according to tradition, the decision is enforced from the date of publication in the official gazette Umm al-Qari.

According to the new decision of the cabinet, if a foreigner is residing in Saudi Arabia, the exit and return fee is 200 riyals, which has a maximum period of two months, while for each additional month, a fee of 100 riyals has to be paid.

After the change, if the foreigner is abroad and wants to extend for an additional month, he will have to pay double the fee for each additional month provided that the period of residence remains.

Similarly, if a foreigner residing in the country wants to make multiple exits and returns, he will have to pay a fee of 500 Riyals for three months and 200 Riyals for each additional month.

After the change, a fee of 400 riyals will be charged twice for each additional month from the foreigner.

In the same way, if the household members of the foreign worker, other than the domestic workers, are abroad and the residence expires, they will be charged twice the fee for renewal.
