How did the gender of the giant panda change in the Netherlands zoo?

A revelation about a two-year-old giant panda in a zoo in the European country of the Netherlands has surprised everyone.

According to the French news agency AFP, when the panda named Fan Shing underwent a routine medical examination, it was found that he is not a male but a female panda.

Fan Shing is the first giant panda to be born at a zoo in the Netherlands.

Zoo manager Jazz Cooke confirmed the news on national television, saying Feng Shung had taken everyone by surprise.

He said zoo staff were unsure of the sex of the fan shing and only wanted to examine it while under anesthesia.

A few months after the birth, the panda underwent a brief medical examination, which was also done in haste so that there would be no delay in delivering the cub to the mother.

However, the manager said that it is difficult to determine the gender of such a young child without anesthesia.

The manager said, 'We were absolutely sure that the child was a boy and we never had any doubts about it.'

Feng Xing was born on May 1, 2020, at a zoo in Rennen, the central city of the Netherlands.
