Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) will be strengthened in all four provinces to deal with terrorism.
Speaking at the apex committee meeting in Peshawar on Friday, the Prime Minister said that one should speak the truth by avoiding criticism for the sake of criticism.
He said that the political party had taken a big decision by agreeing on the NFC award and in 2010, 417 billion rupees were given separately to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as it was affected by terrorism.
"Where did the 417 billion rupees that were given to combat terrorism go, it should be audited."
Shahbaz Sharif said that the IMF delegation is sitting in Islamabad and is giving a 'tough time' to the finance minister and his team. Despite all this, the federation is with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pointing to Tehreek-e-Insaaf and Imran Khan, the Prime Minister said that 'you were ready to resettle those people who had fueled the market of oppression and persecution in Pakistan, but you did not join hands with them.'
An important meeting of the Apex Committee under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is going on in Peshawar to consider anti-terrorism measures, in which all stakeholders, police, rangers and senior officers of sensitive institutions are participating.
No representative of Tehreek-e-Insaf attended the meeting of the Apex Committee.
PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leader Shaukat Yousafzai said in a video statement that he was invited but decided not to attend the apex committee meeting.
Earlier on Thursday night, Federal Minister Ayaz Sadiq had invited two representatives of Tehreek-e-Insaaf to attend the Apex Committee meeting in Peshawar on behalf of the Prime Minister.
The federal minister requested the leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaaf to give the names of two representatives nominated by their party to attend the apex committee meeting.
In the meeting, the terrorist incident that happened in the mosque of Peshawar Police Lines on January 30 is being considered.
