England have whitewashed the host team on Pakistani soil for the first time in history by defeating Pakistan in the third Test played in Karachi.
On the fourth day of the third Test on Tuesday, the visiting team defeated Pakistan by eight wickets to win the series 0-3.
In the first innings of the Karachi Test, Pakistan scored 304 runs and Babar Azam was the team's top scorer with 78 runs.
In response, the England team was dismissed for 354 runs in the first innings. Harry Brooke played an innings of 111 runs.
Pakistan scored 216 runs in the second innings, which included half-centuries from captain Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel.
England achieved the target of 167 runs given by Pakistan on the fourth day of the match by just two wickets.
After the 'whitewash' defeat to Pakistan on their own soil, social media is also seeing comments from users on the team's shortcomings.
In this regard, the Iceland Cricket Association also said in a sarcastic message to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Twitter that 'We will be happy to visit Pakistan and lose 0-3.'
The Iceland Cricket Association pointed to England's fast batting in Test cricket and told the PCB that "we will not score runs at an average of 7.0 but at an average of 0.7."
It has also happened for the first time in the history of cricket that Pakistan have lost four consecutive Test matches on their soil.
Comparisons were also made between the captains of Pakistan and England during the Test series. Former England captain and commentator Nasir Hussain said in this regard that the difference between the two captains is very clear. Babar Azam has been very orthodox while Ben Stokes has always thought outside the box.
He also said that 'I don't think Babar has captained well.'
But Nasir Hussain also said, "Don't change captains unless you have a better option." Babar is a good captain but he keeps his fielders away and doesn't use part-time bowlers like Ben Stokes.
He advised the Pakistani captain that a captain should always keep learning. Babar Azam can also learn from Ben Stokes.
England's Harry Brooks scored 468 runs in three Test matches at an average of 93.60 with three centuries and one half-century. He was awarded the title of 'Player of the Series'.
The way Pakistani players have been playing has also been criticized for the past several months and it has been said that the Green Shirts play with a very defensive mindset.
In this regard, during a press conference after the Karachi Test, team captain Babar Azam said that "If we play attacking cricket, there will be questions as to why you did not play defensive cricket."
He praised the England team, saying they "must be given credit because they batted differently."
