Osama Sati murder case, two accused were sentenced to death and three were sentenced to life imprisonment

Two suspects involved in the killing of Osama Nadeem Sati, a student who lost his life as a result of the firing of anti-terrorist force personnel in Islamabad, have been sentenced to death while three others have been sentenced to life imprisonment.

On Monday, Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry pronounced a safe verdict in the Osama Sati murder case.

Accused Iftikhar Ahmed and Muhammad Mustafa were sentenced to death while other accused Saeed Ahmed, Shakeel and Mudassar Mukhtar were sentenced to life imprisonment.

It should be noted that in early January last year, a young man named Osama Sati was killed by police firing on a vehicle in Sector G Ten of Islamabad.

Chief Commissioner Islamabad Aamir Ali Ahmed ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident, while a joint investigation team was formed by the police, which included members of other law enforcement agencies.

Five officials involved in Osama Sati's murder were also dismissed from the police service, including sub-inspector Iftikhar Ahmed, constable Mohammad Mustafa, Shakeel Ahmed, Mudassar Mukhtar and Saeed.

According to the notification issued by the SSP Office Islamabad, these policemen were dismissed for misconduct and neglect of duty.

The deceased's father, Nadeem Younis Sati, said that "at two o'clock in the night, the guards killed my innocent son."

They had alleged that the bullets hit the front of the vehicle and not the back, and that Osama was pulled out of the vehicle and killed.
